Nigeria head coach, Jose Peseiro is facing a sack ahead of Monday’s 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in Guinea-Bissau.

The Super Eagles lost the home leg of the tie 1-0 at the Abuja National Stadium last Friday.

The result left the bigwigs in the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, furious.

It is understood Peseiro was summoned by officials of the NFF after the game and told in certain terms that he must exact revenge on the Djurtus in the reverse fixture or face the repercussions which may see him being fired.

The three-time African champions, under Peseiro, have lost their last four matches against Algeria, Mexico, Costa Rica and Guinea-Bissau.

They take on Guinea-Bissau on Monday second in Group A of the qualifying series, one point behind their hosts
