The Lagos State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have confirmed the appointment of a former Chairman of Ikorodu North Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Adeola Jokomba, as its Secretary.
TrackNews Media understands that Jokomba was appointed to replace former lawmaker Hon. Olanrewaju Sunmi Odesanya, who was recently appointed by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu as Special Adviser, DAWN Commission & South West Integration.
The highest decision making body of the APC in the State, the Governance Advisory Council (GAC), approved Jokomba’s appointment, WesternPost reports.
After serving as a Council Chairman for two term, Jokomba aspired to represent Ikorodu Constituency at the Lagos State House of Assembly but could not get the party’s ticket.
Jokomba was a two-term Chairman of Ikorodu North Local Council Development Area.
He was the Vice Chairman, Conference 57 Lagos State, an association of Council Chairmen in Lagos State.
The new Lagos APC Secretary holds Bachelor’s degree in Health and Social Care from Thames Valley University.
He went on to obtain Master in Clinical Psychology from Western Ville University, San Diego, California USA.
Currently, a Doctorate student in Social Work in the Lagos State University, Ojo.
