The Presidential Election Court (PEC), Abuja, will on Friday hear the suit filed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the Labour Party presidential candidates, Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi respectively, challenging the emergence of Bola Tinubu as the president-elect.

TrackNews reports that Atiku and Obi have refused to concede defeat in the February 25 presidential election, vowing to recover their mandate in court.

This Online platform gathered that the opposition candidates approached the PEC specifically to be able to inspect the election materials used for last Saturday’s election.

Both motions, with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and two others as respondents, have been listed for hearing today (Friday).

Atiku and Obi’s request is contained in two ex-parte motions they filed at the PEC secretariat at the Court of Appeal, Abuja.

While Atiku came second in the poll with 6,984,520 votes, Labour Party’s Peter Obi had 6,101,533 votes to come third.
