President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has met with a delegation of Rivers State elders, traditional rulers, chiefs, and members of the state and national assembly at the State House in Abuja.
The delegation that met the President on Thursday, September 14, 2023, included the Rivers state governor, Siminalayi Fubara.
It was gathered that the visit was to thank the president for appointing Rivers state former governor, Nyesom Wike as the Minister of FCT.
Wike who is a card-carrying member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) became a member of Tinubu’s cabinet after working against his party in favour of Tinubu, the eventual winner of the 2023 presidential election.
