A few hours after a live media chat in Government House Port Harcourt, the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike jetted out of Nigeria to Spain.
Wike who was accompanied by Ayo Makinde, Gabriel Orton and Okezie Ikpeazu of Oyo, Benue and Abia states departed the Port Harcourt International Airport at about 1 am on Saturday.
The Rivers State Governor had in the media chat accused the national chairman of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Dr Iyorchia Ayu of collecting another N100million from a particular governor without any proper accountability.
Wike also said that he would not sit in any occasion that Ayu is present as chairman of the party, insisting that until the national chairman resigns his position and the a southerner emerges as the next national chairman of the PDP, there will be no peace in the party.
It is not clear the next plot by the G-5 governors in Spain even as the PDP has suspended its presidential campaign until further notice.
