…Bans keke movement from 7pm to 6am
His Excellency, Senator Douye Diri, Governor of Bayelsa State today met with leaders of Epie Kingdom and Arewa community in the State to resolve the killing at Kpansia, in Yenagoa Local Government Area.
Gov. Diri who described the incident as unfortunate appealed for calm and restoration of peace in the State capital.
He urged the traditional rulers in Epie kingdom and the Arewa leadership to avoid reprisal attacks.
To further ensure peace within this period, the governor has banned commercial tricycle operation within Yenagoa and its environs from 7pm to 6am.
He ordered the arrest and prosecution of any keke operators found with arms.
