“On behalf of my family, the Sampou community, and the government of Bayelsa State, I thank you for coming to show solidarity with us at this trying time.

I am not surprised that despite your very tight schedule, you still made it, I know it’s because of the love you have for your people and this family.
And so, I thank you and I and I appreciate all the good gestures you’ve brought with your coming.”

~Sen. Douye Diri, Governor of Bayelsa State, speaking while receiving a delegation from Century Energy Group, led by the group’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Ken Etete, at Sampou Community, in Kolokuma/Opokuma LGA.
