For days now, the Nigerian media space has gone wild over the arrest of Nigerian senator, Ike Ekweremadu and his wife for alleged organ harvesting.
The influential politician and his wife were arrested after one, Ukpo Nwamini David, who was supposed to donate a kidney to their ailing daughter reported to the UK police that he was under aged and was deceived into donating his kidney to them.
TrackNews Nigeria has gathered that David, who was intended to be a donor for the daughter of former Senate President Ekweremadu, did not accompany them to the UK; instead, he had already left months earlier and was well-prepared for his trip after maybe changing his mind about becoming their daughter’s donor.
It’s also important to note that the Ekweremadu family was detained in the UK on Tuesday morning, June 21, 2022, via Turkish Airlines, rather than while en-route to Turkey as reported by many media houses. They had no plans to travel to Turkey and were not doing so.
On why tests were not carried out in Nigeria before flying the boy to the UK, sources revealed to newsmen that;
” Tests were carried out in a reputable hospital in Abuja and he was a perfect match for their daughter Chinonso, I am also shocked that the Hospital in the UK said he was not a match…..Everything probably changed after the boy changed his story and age… He had been there for a while and must have asked around on how to get his story to suit his plans. Those who live abroad will understand perfectly what he did”
It has also been gathered that David is not homeless neither was he found in Lagos, Nigeria as he claims. He reportedly has an address in Abuja.
