Kingsley Fanwo, an APC politician and commissioner for Kogi State, has commented on the likelihood that Dino Melaye, the PDP’s nominee for governor, would defeat his party. In his interview, the spokesperson also discussed initiatives to appease angry APC leaders who are protesting what they perceive to be Governor Yahaya Bello’s interference in the Kogi APC primary election.
Speaking on the subject, Fanwo said, “The APC has almost made Kogi State a one-party state. We now have a majority in the state house of representatives, along with three senators and seven HOR members. APC’s chances of losing the gubernatorial contest are slim. We will deal with the problem since Dino Melaye is a well-known enemy of ours. Dino will once again be defeated.
We know Dino Melaye quite well, and we won’t play games with him,” he said. But because Dino is a regular, we will triumph against him once more.
Fanwo also spoke about the complaints of certain APC leaders over the conduct and results of the Kogi State gubernatorial primary. Sen. Smart Adeyemi did not voice any complaints after winning the 2019 primary, he observed.
