Kolga Vice Chairman Give Away 50% of His Salary to Widows, Elderly and others.

TRACKING_____ The Vice Chairman of Kolokuma Opokuma Local Government Area Mr Brian Wotari Alagha has promised to dedicate fifty percent of his salary to the elderly, widows and widowers and youths.

The Vice Chairman made the pledge while discussing with some correspondents at the council Secretariat in Kaiama.

Mr. Wotari Alagha said it was his way to give back to the people and an additional funding channel for the Special Scheme for the Elderly and vulnerable.

The Special Scheme for Elderly and Vulnerable is an empowernment programme set up by the office of the Vice Chairman to cater for senior citizens, widows, widowers and youths drawn from various communities in the Local government area.

The Vice Chairman said the move is in tandem with the vision of his boss the Chairman of the Local Government Area Mr. Dengiye Ubarugu and further explained that leadership is for service to the people and providing support where necessary and that is his mission.

In his kind gesture he has also fulfill his pledge by paying mama Omongbalibo Orogono her monthly stipend yesterday.

It could be recalled that before assumption of office as the Vice Chairman of the council Mr Brian Wotari Alagha had carried out numerous philanthropic gestures even as Senior Special Assistant to the former Governor.
