Presidential spokesperson, Femi Adesina has responded after Bishop Matthew Hassan Kukah asked President Muhammadu Buhari if he had fulfilled his campaign promise of rescuing school girls who were kidnapped in 2014.

Speaking in an interactive session, Adesina said the girls in question were not kidnapped under Buhari’s administration, however, the president has been able to rescue more than one hundred of them. According to Adesina, Bishop Kukah ought to praise Buhari for doing his best in rescuing many of the girls.

About 11:37 minutes into a video shared on YouTube by Channels TV, Adesina said, ” … Bringing back our girls: how many of those girls were taken away in 2014 and how many have been recovered? Bishop Kukah should even praise the government for recovering a large number of those girls. Were the girls even spirited away under President Buhari? No. But the girls are Nigerians and the president did his level best in bringing more than a hundred of those girls back”
