Ibekimi Oriamaja Reports.
The Deeper Christian Life Ministry’s General Overseer, W.F Kumuyi, has spoken out against the All Progressives Congress’ Muslim-Muslim ticket (APC).
After meeting with Kwara State Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq on Thursday, Kumuyi told reporters that presidential candidates from various political parties should consider the desires of the people before making their decisions.
He insisted that politicians are elected to serve the country, not themselves, and that before making a decision, the needs of the people should be considered.
“The Muslim-Muslim or Christian-Christan ticket is a tricky and slick area,” he says.
“The APC’s presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, and his party chose Borno Sen and ex-governor Kashim Shettima as his running mates.”
“What I will say is that political office holders should consider both the heartbeat of the country and the desires of the people.”
“Politicians must recognize that they are not in office to serve themselves.” They are all available to us. They should inquire and research what the nation desires.
“They should ask and research what the country and people want; if they listen to the people, we will have confidence that they will listen to us when they arrive.”
