Kyle Walker Agrees To Join Bayern, City Identify Replacement

England international Kyle Walker has verbally agreed to leave Manchester City for German Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich this summer.

Sky in Germany reported that Kyle Walker has agreed a three-year deal with Bayern Munich to move to the German Bundesliga giants this summer.

The deal will see the England international remain at Bayern Munich until 2026.

However, the whole process is not over yet. Even though Bayern have cleared themselves on the part of the player, the deal could collapse if Manchester City refuse to accept Bayern’s offer.

Hence, the next stage is the negotiations between Bayern Munich and the Premier League reigning champions. The good thing for the German side is that Kyle Walker has just a season left on his contract with City.

This is good news because if City refuse to accept Bayern’s offer, and Kyle Walker refused to extend his contract with City this summer, the English defender will leave the club on a free transfer next summer.

Recall that the 33-year-old England international joined Manchester City from Tottenham Hotspur for a transfer fee worth €52.70 million on July 14, 2017.

Since then, Kyle Walker has made 254 appearances in all competitions for the club in which he scored 6 goals and provided 18 assists.

Meanwhile, Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Manchester City have identified Benjamin Pavard as the new right-back to sign if Kyle Walker leaves the club for Bayern Munich this summer.

Pavard joined Bayern Munich from VfB Stuttgart in 2019 and could leave the reigning Bundesliga champions in this transfer window.
