Lawmaker Congratulates Governor Douye Diri of Bayelsa State On His 100 Days In Office

TRACKING___The Honourable member representing all the characters of Kolokuma/Opokuma constituency ll in the Bayelsa State House of assembly, Hon. Wisdom Fafi, has congratulated Governor Douye Diri of Bayelsa State, on his 100 days in office.

In a congratulatory message, the lawmaker commended the governor for his response on the Covid-19 global pandemic, upon assumption of office on the 14 of February 2020 weeks before the outbreak, to ensure that Bayelsans we’re not caught unaware.

He lauded the governor for his “Action Plan”, which aims at creating wealth for this fiscal year as proposed, passed by the legislative arm, and signed and his recent assenting into law, the Public Procurement, Fiscal Responsibility and Debt Management Office (Amendment) Bills, 2020, First and Second Reading.

He added that “He is particularly happy as a lawmaker that, within this period under review, Bayelsa is now placed among the first states in Nigeria, to adhere to the International Public Sector Account Standard (IPSAS), which indicates transparency, checks and balances, wastefulness,” with the help of those saddled with the task of checking excesses and procurement in government MDA’s.

Finally, he said these and many other cheering strides, which will yield better results in the coming days and years, has clearly convinced Bayelsan’s that, there are endless possibilities in his capacity in steering the ship of the state on the part of progress and urges constituents and other well-meaning Bayelsans to support the government.
