The Secretary of Kolokuma/Opokuma Local Government Council, Hon. Collins Agbiyaowei PhD, celebrated one year of successful leadership in working side by side with his people in Ward 09 Sabagreia yesterday.
Dr. Collins Agbiyaowei thanked the people for their constant support and prayers to lead well alongside the Council Chairman, Hon. Tariye Lelei.
As part of the celebration for a successful one year in office as secretary of the local government area, he gave out ₦50,000 each to over Eleven (11) small scale traders to support their businesses, cash gifts to ward members, supported students of tertiary institutions, and many others through the raffle draw games.
The Council Secretary assured the people – mostly the youths and women on more empowerment in the coming days through the “Table Market Money Initiative”, which he described as helping the grassroots to grow in business.
The Secretary specially thanked Hon. Wisdom Fafi PhD, the Member Representing KOLGA Constituency Two (II) in BYHA, for his guidance, leadership prowess and also for supporting the “Table Market Money Initiative” with a reasonable amount.
He specially recognized the contributions of Hon. Ebikeme Diri and the Executive Chairman of the Kolga, Hon. Tariye Isaac Lelei and other leaders who have stood firm in helping the grassroots in line with the Assured Agenda of the Governor, His Excellency Senator Douye Diri.
He concluded by thanking God Almighty for His infinite mercy & grace upon his life & family, while wholeheartedly thanking the Governor of Bayelsa State, Gov. Douye Diri for the opportunity given to him to serve as Secretary of his (Governor) LGA.
The occasion was attended by other youth leaders including, Government Technical Adviser, Hon. Macclean MacCarthy, Deputy Chief and Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Special Duties, Mr. Amaebi Ayawari KSC, and other appointees, and gov’t officials.
