The Federal Government has admitted that Nigerians are tired of the country’s current security challenges Track News reports.

Major General Babagana Monguno (rtd), the President’s National Security Adviser (NSA), stated this on Thursday after the National Security Council meeting at the State House in Abuja.

Recognizing the country’s growing insecurity, the NSA warned that this trend could lead to citizens turning to self-help.

“Members of the armed forces have made a commitment that they will begin working on a new strategy to deal with these snippets of violence in the coming weeks,” he said.

“They have given their word, commitment to the President, that there will be a change in momentum, regardless of the institutional constraints that they face.” They have realized the magnitude of their responsibilities.”

According to him, Council will soon complete its special investigation into the July 5 Kuje Correctional Center attack, which resulted in the release of over 600 terrorists, and will punish those who, through negligence, allowed the terrorists to flee.

He did, however, reveal that the government was currently developing new strategies to combat the country’s growing insecurity.

According to him, the Security Council has agreed on new strategies to combat the threat, ensuring renewed momentum against terrorism.

The NSA stated that Nigeria is in a difficult situation, and that the President is aware of the public’s concern about rising insecurity.

He also cautioned media practitioners against giving terrorists widespread publicity, claiming that such materials flooding the internet have disastrous consequences for the country.

“We are in a very difficult situation,” Monguno added. The Council understands that Mr. President is concerned about the growing insecurity.

“I can assure you that there is no one-size-fits-all solution to this problem, so let us all embrace each other.” I know people are exhausted. People are starting to look elsewhere for self-help. The truth is that help is rooted in everyone working for the benefit of the other.”

President Buhari called an emergency security meeting more than 48 hours after terrorists attacked the Presidential Brigade Guards.
