Makinde Appoints 40-Year Olf Botswana Woman As Special Adviser

Oyo State governor, ‘Seyi Makinde, has approved the appointment of Ms. Neo Tlhaselo as Special Adviser on African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) & International Trade.
The appointment was contained in a letter signed by the governor’s Chief of Staff, Honourable Segun Ogunwuyi.
Ms Tlhaselo is a business development expert and media entrepreneur.
In this role, Tlhaselo, who is the founding Director of Conversation with Africa and The Business KRAAL, will promote trade and investment between Oyo State and members of the AfCFTA as well as the global community.
Though the statement was silent on her country of origin, search by Track News Online revealed that 40-year old Tlhaselo, who was at a point the youngest tertiary institution principal in the world at 25, is from Botswana, a southern African country.
While congratulating her on the appointment, Governor Makinde urged her to work for the actualisation of the Roadmap to Sustainable Development 2023 – 2027 and the development of Oyo State as a whole.
The appointment takes immediate effect.
