TRACKING_____As his culture of serving humanity is, Honourable Oforji Oboku, a Bayelsa born politician and Member representing the fabulous characters of the Yenagoa Constituency 1 in the Bayelsa state House of Assembly, came to the aid of an old woman aged 91, who a disastrous storm on Wednesday, 1st of April swept the only mud building which gave her comfort off her head. The situation was pathetic, as the aged woman could not help but wail over the grave damage done to her. Little did she know that the event of things would turn to be a blessing to her.Astonishingly, Honourable Oforji Oboku, the Civilian General as he is fondly called, on intellectual report, came to the scene, and changed the narrative; a gesture which left the Famgbe residents of Yenagoa Local Government Area of Bayelsa state in overwhelming joy.Seeing the disaster done on the building which was the only source of comfort to oldest woman in the community, the Lawmaker compassionately embraced the aged woman, and said: “Mama cry no more, I will ensure you have a good roof over your head.”Overwhelmingly, what seems to be like a stroke of magic, Honourable Oforji Oboku ordered a foundation digging and the laying of blocks. Then he promised to erect a befitting structure for her within his capacity. And upon his offer, he gave the aged woman financial aid to ease her stress for the time being. This is not the first time the Lawmaker has extended a hand of fellowship to his constituents. He has been seen rendering helping hands to victims within and outside his constituency. Just recently, he built a well furnished apartment for a constituent whose house was razed down by a fire outbreak.
