The Convener of Concerned Nigerian, Deji Adeyanju, on Monday noted that two other governors on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party may dump the party for the All Progressives Congress.

The activist alleged that the ruling party are currently in talks with the governors.

Adeyanju in a post on Twitter said the talks are part of a move to get the governors into defecting to APC before the party’s state congresses.

He wrote: “Zamfara Governor has defected to APC as I said. APC is still talking to two PDP Governors to see if they can defect before their state congresses so they hand over the party structures to them. I feel so much pity for Yari.”

Naija News had earlier reported that the Governor of Zamfara State, Bello Matawalle has dumped the PDP for APC.

The development was disclosed by the Personal Assistant on New Media to President Muhammadu Buhari, Bashir Ahmad.

Meanwhile, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has reacted to the planned defection of Governor Bello Matawalle of Zamfara State to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

PDP’s National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbodiyan, in a statement said the opposition party is not bothered about the governor’s defection.
