…Commends Labour’s Diligence In Promotion Of Good Governance

Rivers State Governor-elect, Sir Siminialayi Fubara, has lauded Nigerian workers for their absolute dedication to the genuine development of the country.
This is contained in a statement signed by his Deputy Media Assistant, Bon Onyedi, in Port Harcourt, yesterday.

The governor-elect, while felicitating with the workers to mark this year’s May Day, commended their hard work, sacrifice, doggedness and diligence in helping to propel the engine of governance, noting that they have remained resolute as the engine room of every government.

He said the workers have been steadfast and committed to their duties despite the global economic challenges that affected the country’s economy in recent times.

Commending their efforts at the last elections that gave him an overwhelming victory, Fubara enjoined Rivers workers not to despair as better days are ahead with the smooth transition from one civilian government to another in a few days.

He said, “There is dignity in labour, so you ought to carry on with diligence and dedication as usual because excellence will be rewarded.”

Commending Nigerian workers as they mark this year’s May Day, Fubara stated: “As a civil servant, I was part of you and I will always remain so. I will always identify with you and work with you to improve the system.

Although no society can adequately pay for your sacrifices and loyalty to the state and the nation, I will ensure that you get the right benefit you deserve.”

Assuring them of his continued and unwavering support, he congratulated the workers on the May Day commemoration, and urged them to always pray for the political leaders to enable the country to get better.
