Mikel Obi: It’s too early for you to retire at 35 – Shehu Sani tells Chelsea legend

Former federal lawmaker, Shehu Sani has reacted to Chelsea legend, John Obi Mikel’s retirement from football.

Sani said that it was too early for Mikel Obi to retire from football at the age of 35.

He, however, wished the former Super Eagles captain all the best in the future.

In a tweet via his Twitter handle on Wednesday, Sani wrote: “It’s too early for Mikel Obi to retire from professional football at 35. However, I wish him all the best.”

Recall that Mikel Obi, on Tuesday, confirmed his retirement from football in a post through his Instagram account.

The 35-year-old Nigerian midfielder retired after a successful career with the Nigeria national team and at the club level
