Miracle Products Dispute: Court Bars VeryDarkMan from Posting About Prophet Fufeyin.

The High Court of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), sitting in Nyanya, has issued an injunction restraining social media activist Martin Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), from making any further posts about Prophet Jeremiah Fufeyin, founder of Christ Mercyland Deliverance Ministry (CMDM) in Delta State.

The legal dispute stems from allegations of def@mation made by Prophet Fufeyin against VDM. In April, it’s was reported that both parties had filed applications, with VDM also submitting a preliminary objection. Prophet Fufeyin’s lawyer, Ihensekhien Samuel, stated that Justice A.Y. Shafa heard all submissions and initially reserved judgment for July 2. However, no ruling was delivered until the latest court session on Thursday.

Following that hearing, Mr. Samuel confirmed that the court dismissed all of VDM’s preliminary objections and granted a full interlocutory injunction in favour of Prophet Fufeyin. This order mandates a return to the status quo ante bellum, effectively barring VDM from making any defamatory publications or online statements about the prophet until the suit is resolved.

Mr. Samuel said the judge found VDM’s objections lacking in merit, describing them as purely technical and not grounded in substantive justice. According to the statement of claim, Prophet Fufeyin accused VDM of repeatedly posting libell%us content about him on Facebook and other platforms, d@maging his reputation and causing emb@rrassment among his church members and business associates.

The matter has been adjourned until October 27 for further proceedings and a possible conclusion of the case.
