The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested two people in Amassoma, Bayelsa State, for selling illegal drugs.

The suspects, Chief Emeka Opara, 52, and Onuoha Chidinma, 25, were caught on Friday, August 1, 2025, after NDLEA officers raided their shop and home along Tantua Road.

During the operation, officers found 41,705 tramadol capsules and other dangerous opioids.

NDLEA says the arrests are part of ongoing efforts to stop drug abuse in Bayelsa communities.
