2023 budget proposal: Adamawa SEC approves N175bn
The Adamawa State Executive Council (SEC) has approved an updated estimate of over N175 billion as the state’s fiscal proposal for the fiscal year 2023.
The SEC approved the review of the 2023 budget proposal from N140 billion, which was initially aggregated last month, to the new N175 billion threshold at an extraordinary meeting on Tuesday.
Dr. Umar Garba Pella, the state Commissioner of Information and Strategy, told reporters after the extraordinary council meeting presided over by Governor Ahmadu Fintiri that the budget proposal was revised upwards based on the anticipated increase in revenue and proposed projects.
The Adamawa State Executive Council approved a budget envelope of N140 billion last month, according to the Track News
Next week, Governor Fintiri is expected to present the updated budgetary proposal to the State House of Assembly.
