2023’ll be different from 2019 elections – INEC tells Nigerians
By Adeleye Kunle
As the 2023 general elections draw close, the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has maintained that there would be an improvement in the conduct of the elections.
This was disclosed by INEC’s National Commissioner in Charge of Planning, Monitoring and Strategic Planning Committee (PMSC), Prof Rhoda Gumus, during a two-day workshop on Election Monitoring and Support Centre (EMSC) for Heads of Department (HODs) in the Commission, yesterday in Gombe State.
Gumus assured that the 2023 polls would be free, credible and reflect the expectations of Nigerians.
“The 2023 elections will be more credible, fair and will be conclusive, that we assure Nigerians,” she said.
She also said all measures for free, fair and credible elections in 2023 were being put in place by the electoral commission, saying that INEC was optimistic that votes would count as witnessed in recent elections in Ekiti and Osun States
