A’Ibom Set to Partner with NDPHC On Power Generation, Distribution
Akwa Ibom State Governor, Umo Eno, has expressed readiness to partner with the Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC) for improved power supply in the state.
The governor made this known when he received the new management team of NDPHC on a courtesy visit at his office inside Government House, Uyo.
He noted that power remains a focal point in the development matrix, and especially in the actualisation of the ARISE Agenda, adding that the state has a critical power infrastructure, The Ibom Power plant, and will like to work with a worthy partner to achieve its aim on power generation and distribution.
According to him, “We cannot say we have fully delivered on the ARISE Agenda of this administration, if we don’t have power for our people. Of course, power in itself is a facilitator of all other things that you want to do.
“We have been looking forward to areas where we can work together. That’s why we did not only ask the Ministry of Power to be here, we also brought the Managing Director of the Akwa Ibom Investment Corporation (AKICORP) that can sit with your team and look at all the investment indices that we can use”.
