BSc Law: Anyim Vera seeks financial help to maintain ‘celebrity’ status
Anyim Vera, a member of Dunamis International Gospel Center, DIGC, who went viral recently after she was accused of lying during a testimony in the church has come under heavy criticism.
Recall that on April 15, a video clip which captured the Senior Pastor of the church, Dr Paul Enenche obstructing Vera’s testimony of being a law graduate, went viral on the social media.
Enenche, who wondered how a supposed law graduate would speak incorrect English, asked some questions for clarification.
Vera, in her response, said she did a BSc in law at the National Open University of Nigeria, prompting the clergy to send her back to her seat, saying the testimony was a lie.
This triggered reactions from Nigerians who demanded that the pastor must apologize to the church member. The church later apologized.
In a recent video posted on her Facebook page, Vera was heard appealing to Nigerians to assist her financially for a better accommodation.
According to Vera, her current residence is no longer safe, stressing that her ‘celebrity’ status was not planned.
She said, “I want to say to Nigerians, you know this thing that happened is a thing of joy, I never dreamed of it, it came this moment, I never dream of being a celebrity.
“It just came all of a sudden. I never prepared for it. I want to use this medium to urge us to assist me with accommodation because I am not buoyant now to rent a house. Where I am staying now is risky and insecure. It is a very open place and everybody already knows I am a celebrity.”
The move, however, didn’t go well with some social media users who stormed the comment section to lambast the Dunamis member over her recent outings.
