Chopper Crash Claims Lives of Access Bank CEO, Herbert Wigwe, 5 Others in California
A tragic incident occurred on Friday night in California, United States, as a chopper carrying Herbert Wigwe, the CEO of Access Bank and Access Holdings, crashed.
The helicopter was en route to Las Vegas when it went down near Nipton, a location between Nevada and California. The United States Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has confirmed that there were no survivors among the six individuals on board. As of Saturday, no survivors had been found.
The FAA stated that they were notified about the downed aircraft at approximately 10:12 p.m. on February 10, 2024. The crash site was determined to be east of the 15-Freeway, near Halloran Springs Road, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.
The helicopter involved in the crash has been identified as a Eurocopter EC 130. The FAA, along with the National Transportation Safety Board, is currently investigating the cause of the tragic incident.
