Dozens Flee Nahuta Village in Katsina Amidst Ongoing Armed Bandit Attacks - Seeking Safety and Security Elsewhere

Dozens of resident in Nahuta village of Batsari Local Government Area, Katsina State, have started fleeing their community in search of safety and security elsewhere due to constant attacks from armed bandit gangs.

It was gathered that residents started moving their children and family members out of the village after a fresh attack on Monday, January 15.

Meanwhile, Nigerian Military Joint Task Force Northwest Operation, Hadarin Daji, repelled an attack on a joint military camp.

The troops covering Sokoto, Katsina, Kebbi, and Zamfara states repelled the attack on Monday.

Katsina is one of the states in the North-West plagued by activities of bandits, a group of loosely organised armed gangs reported to have well over 120 factions in the region.

Politics Nigeria reports that there has been a surge in the number of attacks and abductions by armed bandits across the country.
