Rector of the Federal Polytechnic of Oil and Gas, Ekowe in Southern Ijaw Local government area, Dr. Seiyabo Enetimi-Idah has commiserated with the Bayelsa State Governor, the Honourable Seriake Dickson on the passage of his mother, Mama Goldcoast Dickson.

According to a statement by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media Relation, Mr. Fidelis Soriwei, Dr. Enetimi-Idah, who led a delegation of the leadership of the institution to condole with Governor Dickson in Government House, Yenagoa, expressed sadness over the death of Mama Goldcoast.

He said the management, staff and students of the Federal Polytechnic of Oil and Gas, Ekowe share in the grief being experienced by the Dickson’s family.

Eulogising the qualities of Mama Goldcoast, he observed that, many have described Mama Goldcoast as a loving, compassionate and supportive home builder, who has left behind worthy legacies.

Dr. Enetimi-Idah noted that, Mama Goldcoast had produced a great son and a leader in the person of Governor Seriake Dickson, whom he said had proved his mettle, not only at the state, but also at the national level.

He prayed God to grant the bereaved Dickson’s family the fortitude to bear the painful loss and eternal repose of the soul of Mama Goldcoast.

Responding, Governor Seriake Dickson thanked Dr. Enetimi-Idah and his entourage for identifying with his family and informed them of the burial programme which would kick off on the 6th to 8th of next month.

Governor Dickson also commended the leadership and students of the Federal Polytechnic for their peaceful disposition and urged them to sustain the prevailing peace towards making the institution one of the centres of academic excellence in the state.

Chairman of the Governing Board of the Federal Polytechnic, Ekowe, Prof. Eddy Olanipekun, who was represented by Dr. Francis Damilola also spoke during the condolence visit.
