Track News reports that the politician made the announcement on Sunday via his verified Twitter handle.

Sani, who stated on the bird app that he is currently in Qatar, acknowledged that it would be difficult for Nigerians to do, but he advised citizens to support Ghana in winning the competition.

According to the former lawmaker, Ghana did not deny Nigeria the opportunity to travel to Qatar, instead ensuring that the African country assembled the best team possible to face the Super Eagles.

“Nigerians should support Ghana to win,” Sani tweeted. I understand how difficult it is. They did not deny us the opportunity to visit Qatar. They simply assembled their best players and outperformed them. I’m not sure if the players we had were our best.”
