Gunmen kill 11 in Plateau community.

On Tuesday night, 11 people were killed in a community in Plateau State’s Bokkos local government area.
Nine of them were members of a family who were killed when gunmen set fire to their home in the Maikatako community of the Bokkos local government council area.
The gunmen stormed the community on Tuesday night and began shooting sporadically to scare the residents, setting fire to the family’s house.
It was also learned that the assailants waited until the house was completely burned down.
During the attack, the gunmen went on the rampage and killed two more people.
According to residents who spoke to The Nation, the incident happened around 9:30 p.m.
Plateau Police spokesman DSP Alfred Alabo told The Nation that the assailants were being sought.
He stated that details of the attack were still sketchy and promised to provide more information when properly briefed.
