‘He’s a religious extremist’ – Sen. Shehu Sani tells Senate not to confirm El-Rufai
Former Kaduna-central senator, Shehu Sani, has advised the Senate against confirming ex-governor Nasir El-Rufai as a minister.
Sani advised the Godswill Akpabio-led Senate against confirming El-Rufai who he accused of being power drunk.
In a recent tweet on Tuesday, the former lawmaker warned that El-Rufai’s confirmation may threaten the peace of the country.
“The unconfirmed ministerial nominee; The imp who was intoxicated with power, and who arrogantly played god is now at the mercy of those wielding power. A religious extremist with a fanatical political agenda should have no place in the seat of power if that nation desires peace,” Sani said.
The Senate had withheld the confirmation of El-Rufai alongside two others due to security and certificate issues.
