Jonathan, Makinde, and others launch MATAN in Ibadan.
Ibekimi Oriamaja Reports
FORMER President Goodluck Jonathan and Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde will launch the Integrated Market Trader Revenue Management System on Thursday at Lekan Salami Stadium in Adamasingba, Ibadan.
Ambassador Olakunle Johnson, National Chairman of the Project Steering Committee and National Secretary of the Market Traders Association of Nigeria, MATAN, told newsmen in Ibadan that the program was based on the need to harmonize members’ revenue paid to the government through a value chain remittance system, such as the Personal Income Tax, PIT, and the need to effectively harness the inherent opportunities in the market place, which informed the birth of the project.
