In an effort to keep his campaign pledges, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the governor of Lagos State, would start building the Lekki Estate Ferry Terminal in Lekki Phase 1, Lagos.

The project, which is scheduled to start in September 2022 and finish in less than 12 months, will aid Lagos State in its goal to build a multi-modal transportation infrastructure by providing its residents and businesses with an affordable, reliable, and safe alternative mode of transportation on inland waterways.

The Lekki Estate Ferry Terminal Limited and Platform Capital, who are investing millions of dollars in the project, are working on it together.

Shopping centers, parking lots with space for more than 200 automobiles, floating restaurants and lounges, health safety services, and environmental services are all included in the project’s infrastructure.

Purchasing cutting-edge passenger ferries and operating water transportation services for the residents of Lekki, Ajah, Igbo Efon, Ikota, Awoyaya, Lakowe, Sangotedo, and its surroundings are other project objectives, according to Tunji Solaja, Public Relations Manager of Lekki Estate Ferry Terminal.

Through cooperation under a Private Partnership (PPP) with Lekki Ferry Estate, it is also intended to support the efforts of the state government in addressing the key infrastructure shortfall and bringing democracy’s benefits to the populace.
