Late Mrs Nanakumo Gloria Pere Taribo goes home

The Late Chief Pere Taribo of Akpumuama, Opuama Kingdom, Late Nicolas and Late Pa Oweisanda adugo of Eniwari, all in Bomo clan, Southern Ijaw Local Government Area of Bayelsa state have announced the passing of their mother, Mrs Nanakumo Gloria Pere Taribo.

She died on the 8th of March this year, aged ninety one.

A statement by Hon. Ogidi Ben Bara and Hon. Kesiye Pere Taribo (Rtd) on behalf of the family says there will be wrestling match between Noel Ebiton of Eniwari and Braveman Oyinkeperemo Yellow of Otuan from 4 to 5pm today as part of activities for the burial.

According to the statement, the body leaves Paradise mortuary Zarama by nine o’clock in the morning for a brief stopover at Akpumuama to be received by chiefs and elders by nine-forty-five in the morning.

The statement says by ten an eleven in the morning there will be a lying-in state at Taribo Polo before leaving for Eniwari Community .

The statement further notes that by one o’clock in the afternoon there will be a commendation service at St. John’s Anglican church Eniwari while interment will be 2:30pm after which reception follows and later a till dawn traditional wake at Eniwari community with music by Master D.

On Tuesday the final burial rites and wake keep will take place and music will be supplied by Pereama Extension.

On Sunday December 17, 2023, there will be outing service at St. John’s Anglican church, Eniwari by nine o’clock in the morning.

The statement urged the public to come and give Late Mrs Nanakumo Gloria Pere Taribo a befitting burial.
