Man shot dead during bulletproof charm test

A43-year-old man, Muhammadu Murtala Ali, has died while attempting to test the effectiveness of a bulletproof charm.

The incident occurred in Zaki Local Government.

A statement yesterday by police spokesperson Ahmed Wakil said the incident occurred when Danladi Ya’u, a native doctor from Damaiwa village in Bursali ward, Zaki Local Government, along with three other accomplices (who are on the run), went to Damaiwa bush with the intent of testing a bulletproof charm on the deceased.
