Former President of the 8th Senate and 2023 presidential hopeful, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki has met with the former President of Sierra Leone, Ernest Bai Koroma.
Tracknews reports that the former Kwara State governor disclosed this in a post on Twitter on Saturday.
According to Saraki, he informed Koroma of his plans to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari on May 29th, 2023.
He wrote: “Yesterday, it was great to catch up with my old friend, the former President of Sierra Leone, H.E. Ernest Bai Koroma.
“It was also a great opportunity to inform him of my future plans, as well as learn more about his work to foster peace and development on the continent.”
Saraki, who has purchased the N40 million Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential Form, is set to battle former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Governors Bala Mohammed and Aminu Tambuwal of Bauchi and Sokoto respectively, Chief Dele Momodu, Anyim Pius Anyim and former Governor of Anambra State Peter Obi.
However, this online newspaper reports that Saraki has already kicked started consultations with Tambuwal and Mohammed about putting forward a consensus candidate.
