CUPP, CSOs Call On NGF To Honour Agreement With Nwoko
Coalitions of United Political Parties and Civil Society Organisations, (CUPPCSO), has called on the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF), to honour its agreement with Ned Nwoko.
CUPPCSO made this demand at a press conference in Abuja, Thursday, titled, “The Paris Club Refunds: Justice Must be Done”, addressed by the National Co-Spokesman, CUPP, Comrade Mark Adebayo, Director of Mobilisation, CUPP and Executive Director, Centre for Public Accountability, Adefemi Lawson.
The group insisted that justice must be done by paying the Paris/London Club refunds consultant what was agreed with him as consultancy fees prior to the refunds collected by the States and Local Governments.
The groups said, “There is nothing difficult to execute in paying a man who did such a wonderful job of recovering billions of dollars for you that you never knew existed.
“He deserves a national award, not witch-hunting. We appeal to all relevant authorities involved to do the needful and sort this matter out once and for all.”
