Fayose arrives at EFCC office with bags packed
Former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayo Fayose, has just arrived at the offices of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) with his bags packed and wearing a T-Shirt that has the bold inscription “EFCC I am here.”
The EFCC had recently sent out a notice to security agencies across the country putting Fayose on a security watch list over allegations of corruption. But the former governor had indicated earlier that he had no plans of fleeing the country once his tenure expires but would willingly submit himself to the anti-corruption body.
In a twitter post earlier today, Fayose had reiterated this promise.
“In few minutes, I will be at the EFCC Old Office, Wuse 2, Abuja.
I’m a man who stands by his words and I hope that after today, those President Buhari’s men that have been accused of corruption will also be bold enough to submit themselves to the @officialEFCC.”
