NDDC needs fresh air with resourceful manager – Group writes Buhari
By Adeleye Kunle
Stakeholders from the Niger Delta communities under the aegis of Niger Delta Development Ambassador, NDDA, have appealed to President Muhammadu Buhari that the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) is in need of a prudent and resourceful Managing Director to oversee the rapid development of the region.
According to the group in an open letter to President Muhammadu Buhari, a copy of which was made available to newsmen in Akure, the capital of Ondo State, on Thursday, the Niger Delta desired inclusive development
The letter, which was signed by the group’s chairman and secretary, Awipi Lawson from Delta State and Ekpobomini Loko from Ondo State, supported the Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu’s suggestion that Barrister Olugbenga Edema be appointed as the NDDC’s new managing director.
The committee endorsed Edema for the position of NDDC’s Managing Director, describing him as “a capable, experienced, clear-headed, visionary, and careful resource manager.”
When Barrister Olugbenga Edema takes over as the Managing Director of NDDC, the group guaranteed President Buhari that the Niger Delta region would feel relief
