Nyesom Wike dissolves Rivers varsity governing council
The Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has dissolved the governing council of the Ignatius Ajuru University of Education.
The dissolution which takes immediate effect was contained in Government Special Announcement, signed by the State Commissioner for Education, Prof. Kaniye Ebeku on Monday.
The statement reads, “The Rivers State Governor, His Excellency Nyesom Wike, has directed that the governing council of Ignatius Ajuru University of Education be dissolved with immediate effect.
“Accordingly, council members are requested to hand over all university property in their possession to the vice chancellor of the university, Prof Ozo-Mekuri Ndimele.”
