ONDO: Housewife Arrested For Pouring Hot Water On Her Husband’s Alleged Mistress
A food seller and house wife, Mrs Esther Godwin, has been arrested by Ondo police command for allegedly pouring hot water on a nursing mother, Samuel Endurance, who she accused of having an affair with her husband.
Esther was arrested last weekend after luring her husband’s alleged lover to their residence at Olofin community of Idanre in the Idanre Local Council Area of the state.
The suspect reportedly called the victim on the phone and asked her to come over and collect palm oil for her husband.
Upon getting to Esther’s residence, she took the baby from her victim, queried her relationship with her husband which she denied. Endurance repeatedly told her that there’s nothing between them other than working at their farm.
The suspect reportedly rushed into her room, came out with a kettle of hot water which she poured on Endurance’s body. The victim was immediately taken to the health centre in the town but later referred to General Hospital, Alade Idanre where she is still receiving treatment.
Endurance who addressed newsmen at the hospital where she is receiving treatment, stated that though she usually worked at Esther’s husband’s farm, there’s nothing between them.
The state’s police spokesperson, Funmilayo Odunlami confirmed the arrest of the suspect and said she would be charged.
