Ondo State Governor Akeredolu Deny Returning to Germany for Medical Vacation
Ondo State Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has denied a report that he will soon return to Germany for medical vacation, calling it “wicked and misleading.”
Tracknews media reports that the governor’s denial came in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Richard Olatunde.
According to him, the report was “concocted and planted by drowning politicians who are still nursing the pains of defeated expectations.”
Akeredolu said the embattled politicians were having sleepless nights and gnashing their teeth in regret of their failed evil plans after his safe return from medical vacation.
The governor added that his administration was committed to addressing the genuine concerns of the people and that governance was not about showbiz.
“We understand the importance of development as the major driver of peaceful, thriving and egalitarian society,” the statement said.
“Governor Akeredolu’s administration has consistently demonstrated its dedication to the state’s progress.”
The statement listed some of the governor’s recent achievements, including the recruitment of medical professionals and health care workers, the recruitment of 150 workers for the state Internal Revenue Service, and the construction of modern tax stations in Ondo and Ikare.
The statement also said that the governor had approved the payment of outstanding leave bonuses and that salaries for workers in the state had been paid up to date.
