President Muhammadu Buhari condemns the “despicable and cowardly” terrorist attack in Turkey

President Muhammadu Buhari has condemned the terrorist attack in Turkey as “despicable and cowardly.”
The incident in central Istanbul on Sunday claimed at least six lives and injured a large number of people.
Around 16:20 local time, a bomb exploded on a busy shopping street near Taksim Square.
President Buhari expressed the Nigerian people’s “shock and sadness” over the attack.
He assured Turkish President Recep Erdogan that Nigeria would continue to support the global anti-terrorism effort.
Buhari stated that citizens’ thoughts and prayers are with the families of those killed.
“We wish those injured a full and speedy recovery,” his spokesperson Garba Shehu said in a statement.
