The spokesman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council, Festus Keyamo, has disclosed that the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, cannot easily demand to be declared winner of the last presidential election in court.

TrackNews reports that the Minister of State for Labour and Employment made this known in a post shared on Twitter.

According to him, Peter Obi must first fight the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) candidate, Atiku Abubakar to prove he came second in the election.

Keyamo added that after Peter Obi had proven he came second, then they can wrestle the position of the presidency with the President-Elect, Bola Tinubu.

He wrote: “Peter Obi & Labour Party cannot even come to court & ask to be declared winner straightaway.

“They have to first fight PDP in order to prove they came second, before they can have the temerity to face @officialABAT. So, there is no room for cooperation b/w Labour & PDP in court.”

Why PDP, LP Lost 2023 Presidential Election

In related news, Festus Keyamo, has claimed the opposition parties lost the presidential election because they failed to form an alliance.

In a tweet via his verified Twitter handle on Thursday, Keyamo said in order to kick out the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 2015, different parties merged to form the APC and it won.

The Minister of State for Labour and Employment said that for PDP to kick APC out of power, it fragmented into three opposing parties namely Labour Party, the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), and PDP.

According to the APC chieftain, it is not difficult to see the reason the opposition parties failed to win the last Saturday’s presidential election.
