Tinubu, Atiku in political space for too long, should give way – PRP’s Abiola
The National Chairman of Peoples Redemption Party (PRP), Mallam Falalu Bello has declared that there is no difference between the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Bello made this disclosure while addressing hundreds of supporters of the party from the six States of the South West at the presidential rally of the party held in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital on Thursday.
At the rally were the presidential candidate of the party, Mr. Kola Abiola and other chieftains of the party.
Bello said as the oldest party in the country, PRP was able to demonstrate to Nigerians good governance during the second republic in old Kaduna and Kano States.
He added that the current leadership of the party had transformed the party from a regional party to a national party.
He urged Nigerians to reject both the APC and the PDP.
He said, “There is no difference between the two political parties, APC and PDP as they are birds of a feather who brought us to where we are today.
“It is time for Nigerians to move away from the locust years and vote for the PRP to redeem the country as the suffering of the people is becoming too much.”
Abiola, while addressing the gathering, advised Nigerians to reject the presidential candidates of both the ruling APC and the PDP, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, respectively.
The son of the presumed winner of June 12, 1993 presidential election, Chief Mosood Kasimawo Olawale Abiola said that the duo have been around the political space of the country for too long.
Abiola said the two presidential candidates were with his father in 1993 when his father was vying for the presidential seat.
Abiola said, “While with my father, the Bashorun of Ibadan in 1993, the presidential candidates of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and that of the PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, were also there, but regrettably they are still around 30 years after.
“Please do not vote for them, but let us work together to repeat the victory of 1993 by voting massively for the PRP.”
