Unbelievable Tragedy: Christmas cow sends owner to early grave.

YENAGOA: All has not been said and heard about the Christmas which many have described as an annual festival commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ. Generally, Christmas is observed primarily on December 25 as a religious and cultural celebration among billions of people around the world. It’s a time in a year filled with Joy happiness, good news, and great pleasures, where family friends, and relatives celebrates and rejoice together.
Ironically, the story of Christmas which is entails great pleasures filled with Joy and happiness was in the opposite side, in Obogoro community, Yenagoa Local Government Area of Bayelsa State. Where agony and tears rolls as cow revolt sent owner to early grave.
Mr Sobokime Igodo a former Youths president of the community who was reported to have gone untimely on Christmas eve, by a cow, he and group of friends had contributed money to buy, which will be killed and shared among them as their yearly ritual .
TrackNews resports that, it was a tragic moment at the deceased’s residence wherein the butchers hired to kill the cow were unable to curtail the excess of the cow. A mishap occurred when Igodo, who was inside the house came out, receiving a phonecall, without notice to the drama between the butchers and the cow, was kicked so hard by the unstable cow and he landed with his back, which resulted broken of the spinal cord.
The source stated that, the victim was immediately rushed to Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Yenagoa, and was later referred to University Teaching Hospital, Port Harcourt Rivers State where he eventually died.
A reports from the family said, his death ruined the air of festivities in the community.
