What We Will Do If Jandor Decides To Return To Our Party – APC Speaks After Sanwo-Olu’s Victory
The Lagos state chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has on Monday stated that it will welcome the Lagos candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran popularly known as Jandor if he chooses to return to the party.
TrackNews recalls that Jandor had left the APC for the PDP in January 2022.
In the just concluded Lagos gubernatorial election, he polled a total of 62,449 votes and placed third while the APC governorship candidate, Babajide Sanwo-Olu emerged winner with a total of 762,134 votes.
Speaking with Daily Independent, the Publicity Secretary of the APC in Lagos, Hon. Seye Oladejo said the party warned Jandor against embarking on a failed mission as Lagosians will appreciate Governor Sanwo-Olu with their votes but he ignored the warning.
He said, “Of course, we will welcome him back with open hands. We told him then to reconsider his move and return to the fold but he ignored the warning. Now that he has learnt his lesson in PDP, we will still open our doors to him if he finds his way back”.
For us in Lagos APC, it is the more, the merrier. Our doors are opened to anyone who wants to join our great party and our performing Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu in consolidating on his ongoing projects and significantly advance the journey towards the Greater Lagos initiative”.
