Alleged racism: FG revokes visa, residence, work permits of Seplat’s CEO, Brown
The federal Government has revoked the visa, residence and work permits of Chief Executive Officer of Seplat Energy, Mr Roger Brown.
Track news reports that this is contained in a statement made by the New Media Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari, Bashir Ahmad on his verified Twitter handle.
Ahmad stated that Mr Brown was stripped of his rights in Nigeria due to the alleged act of racism.
According to him, Mr Brown has been accused of favouring foreign workers at the detriment of Nigerians.
“The FG has revoked the visa, residence and work permits of Roger Brown, a British businessman and CEO of Seplat Energy Plc, an oil & gas exploration and production company based in Nigeria over alleged racism, favoring of foreign workers and discrimination against Nigerian employees”, Ahmad posted.
But Basil Omiyi, the chairman, board of directors, Seplat, on Thursday issued a statement refuting the allegation against its CEO.
Omiyi said the company would pursue the matter with the federal government to a logical conclusion
